Spring (Summer?) Sketches

Nothing special, just trying to keep myself busy.  These sketches were done with one of those 4 in one pens.  Too bad the red ink was dead.  Definitely would’ve given the robot red lasers if it wasn’t.

DJ Set Double Dose!

Felt like being extra generous since it’s my birthday and all so today I’m providing you with not one, but TWO 40 minute mixes to enjoy when you don’t want to worry about what your iPod will shuffle to next.

Part one is an upbeat collection of party/dance/fistpump/getbizzay tunes.  Part two starts off with some of my favorite recent chillllll dubstep beats and continues with some trip-hop, hip-hop beats, West Coast beatscene… uh beats, a Top 40 track you’re probably already sick of, and one of the sexiest voices I’ve heard in a good while.

I realize time is valuable so if I had to choose one, I like part two better.  I mixed part one first so it’s a little rougher and part two is just generally more easy to hang out with (but that’s just me).  ENJOY! (Click the down arrow to the right of the player to download)

Just Want to Create, is all.

So I made a beat using Ableton Live.  I actually made more than one and you can check out some short loops I made on my MySpace page.  I dunno why I started this small endevor to make music, but it was a highly enjoyable process and I hope to continue making more songs.  This one beat I did is unofficially titled “Inhale” and is still unfinished.  I need to fine tune the levels  and possibly add more sounds and phrases and what not.  For now, however, here is the “demo” I guess (maybe I’ll be discovered by Warp or Brainfeeder and become Twitter-famous).

I’m With Cupid

This is a mix I put together with that warm fuzzy feeling you get in your stomach in mind.  This is the sound my heart makes (laser sound effects included) when my brain makes the mistake of falling in love :-P.  Forward this to a loved one (present, future, or past) as a small free gift for Valentine’s Day (just don’t tell them it was free, say you paid for it on iTunes or something), or listen to it and pretend I mixed it just for you (because I really didn’t, I mixed this for ALL to enjoy!).  I’m going to withhold on a tracklist this time, just listen to it.  Crack open a bottle of wine or light up a serenade joint, cuddle up next to a special someone and enjoy.
